Breakfast, brunch, and lunch stacked like pancakes before being drizzled with Nutella and golden syrup.
Living in the hustle and bustle of Manchester, the immense breakfast options available throughout the city centre means we can have a hearty breakfast on our way to work instead of stopping at a McDonalds drive-thru or popping into Greggs for a pasty. For me, the heartiest breakfasts of all are served at Café North.
On my quest to create the perfect Fat Day experience, I knew I had to expand into the breakfast-lunch market to find the ideal place capable of meeting the rules of Fat Day.
I decided to review Café North after they satisfied my craving for pancakes.
Warm pancakes served with chopped bananas and drizzled with a generous helping of Nutella; it was sensational. Each bite savoured to its full extent; a craving from the depths of my stomach finally being fulfilled.
There are only a few moments in life where you wish you could relive every bite. This is one of those moments.
Café North, located a short distance away from the Arndale, serves a wide variety of breakfast options. A vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free friendly establishment, it is the perfect place to start Fat Day regardless of what you can or cannot eat.
Serving a wide range of breakfasts, warm and cold sandwiches, as well as waffles, pancakes, and milkshakes, Café North fits the bill for one of the go-to places in Manchester.
Having sampled the Scrambled Eggs and Scottish Smoked Salmon on both a bagel and on toast, as well as Banana and Nutella pancakes, Café North hits the spot every time.
The menu has plenty of options, all of the items are reasonably priced, and they provide you with a considerable sized portion. It’s money well spent and you’ll feel full and happy.
The food is fresh, warm, and smells divine; the service is friendly and the staff are happy to engage in conversation.
What sets apart Café North from the rest of the breakfast diners in the city centre, and a general rule of thumb for trying new places, is that it is always packed.
There has never been a time I’ve visited the café and it has not been brimming with diners. Even though it may seem full, the staff will always find a table for you.
Café North has thrown down the gauntlet to other cafés in the area. It’ll be nice to see if they’re up for the challenge.
Given its close proximity to the Manchester Arena and excellent transport links to help you travel around the city, Café North is the ideal spot for breakfast, brunch, and lunch.
Not just breakfast or lunch food, serving pancakes and waffles places it in a niche market within the Manchester food industry.
A definite for Fat Day, especially if you eat first and party later.
This is my experience. You are welcome to try it out, but that’s at your own risk.
